In honor of National Cheeseburger Day, here is a list of our favorite Long Beach spots to grab a delicious, ooey-gooey cheeseburger.

Restauration

It's all about the details at Restauration. Let's start with the fact the beef is grass fed, and the bread is made from scratch. "The Burger" is topped with locally sourced grilled onions,  little gems of lettuce, and tomato. This master piece is finished with homemade Russian dressing and Tillamock cheese. Enjoy this ultimate local burger while sipping a craft beer or refreshing  wine cocktail on their dog-friendly patio. Restauration is nestled between Cherry Ave. and Temple Ave. on the vibrant part of 4th Street known as Retro Row. (562) 439-8822 2708 E. 4th Street Long Beach Ca 90814

Pig Pen Delicacy

Pig Pen Delicacy has successfully taken traditional American comfort food to the next level. While they mostly focus on pork-based menu items, one of the offerings that have gotten them on the map, and is next-level National Cheeseburger Day worthy, is the Mac Daddy Burger. Served between their signature Man'N Cheese Buns are candied bacon, American cheese, and BBQ sauce on a 1/3 lb. beef patty. They have a more traditional cheeseburger too. Why not just try both (562) 676-4021 - 3768 Long Beach Blvd Long Beach, CA

MVPs Grill & Patio

Hands down, the most popular cheeseburgers at MVP's are the George Foreman III Burger and the George Foreman V Burger. The George Foreman III Burger is a no-frills bacon and cheeseburger, with two 1/3 lb. patties. Can't go wrong. The George Foreman V Burger gets a little bit fancier by adding avocado, bacon, and cheese onto those two delicious 1/3 lb. patties on a sesame bun with their famous Cajunaise dressing. You can dine in or carry out your burgers, or hang out next door at O'Connels for a beer and to catch a game, and they will bring your food over to you there. (562) 439-0809 - 2742 E 4th St Long Beach, CA

Dave's Burgers

While Dave's Burgers is located in a gas station parking lot, don't let that deter you from stopping in for a delicious cheeseburger for National Cheeseburger Day. Your options include a regular classic cheeseburger or the larger Jumbo Cheeseburger that comes with grilled onions, tomato, and lettuce. They are also famous for their Jumbo Cubby burger that has a sliced hot dog on it--and also cheese so it "counts" for this special day. This isn't a "choose your toppings and temperature" type burger joint, but it still packs tons of delicious flavor.   (562) 424-3340 - 3396 Atlantic Ave Long Beach, CA

HashTag Burgers

Something that's really unique about HashTag Burgers is that they use organic beef (never frozen), free range chicken, and farm-to-table produce. Starting off with quality ingredients like that is sure to result in a delicious cheeseburger. You can't go wrong with the Old Fashion Cheeseburger that is served on a fresh and sweet lightly grilled brochette bun, a grass-fed beef patty, your choice of American or cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Our other National Cheeseburger Day pick would be the Blu Ribbon Burger that's topped with blue cheese, lettuce, roasted garlic aioli, tomato, and bacon - because blue cheese is cheese too! (562) 427-6435 - 3387 Atlantic Ave Long Beach, CA

Rockfire Grill

Rockfire Grill is well known for flatbread - but did you know that they stone bake their burger buns to-order, too? Your bun will be baking while your burger is cooking on the radiant charbroiler. As far as cheeseburgers go, you can choose the classic cheeseburger or really go for it and get the bacon cheeseburger. Both are served with tender greens, tomatoes, grilled onions, and their house-made spread.  (562) 494-7523 - 1940 Ximeno Ave Long Beach, CA

Congregation Ale House

They may be the "house of beers," but what goes better with beer than a tasty cheeseburger? The rib-eye cheddar burger and double rib-eye cheddar burgers are both great choices if you're looking to take celebrating National Cheeseburger Day to the next level. They also have traditional cheeseburgers that are fairly customizable--and their side dishes and appetizers are always crowd pleasers. You could start off your cheeseburger meal with some beer cheese nachos or cheese board. (562) 432-2337 - 201 E Broadway Ave Long Beach, CA

Jim's Burgers

You'll easily be able to satisfy your National Cheeseburger Day obligation at Jim's Burgers. The jalapeno swiss burger is great if you're looking for something spicy, the western bacon cheeseburger has that classic bacon and cheese combo, and the chili cheeseburger will guarantee that you won't go home hungry. Treat yourself with a plate of their amazing fries too, like 502 fries, L.B.C. fries, and Opa fries. (562) 342-4834 - 3639 E 7th St Long Beach, CA 90804

GD Bro Burger

GD Bro Burger (which you might have seen on the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race) has a few more creative options to treat yourself on National Cheeseburger Day. One of their signature burgers is called the Italian Stallion and it is topped with mozzarella sticks, spinach, pizza sauce, and ranch dressing. For a more traditional, but still super cheesy option, try out the All-American burger that is topped with mild cheddar, swiss cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, kettle chips, lettuce, and BBQ sauce. (Also, they have pizza fries.).  (562) 595-5059; 1798 E Willow St, Signal Hill, CA
